  7234 – KANOSUKE JAPANESE WHISKY SINGLE MALT 48º – 70 Cl.

Characteristics: Kanosuke Japanese Single Malt is a Japanese single malt produced by Kanosuke Distillery in Kagoshima, a young distillery that combines distilling tradition with modern techniques. This whisky is made solely from malted barley (including a very small proportion of slightly peated malt) and is distilled through three different stills to provide aromatic complexity. The main maturation is carried out in re-charred American white oak barrels that previously housed Mellowed Kozuru shochu, a traditional Japanese drink of the founding family, which brings character, sweetness and structure to the whisky. It is bottled at 48% vol. without chill filtration or added coloring, offering a balanced expression that reflects the coastal terroir and climate of Kagoshima. With an increasingly prominent presence outside of Japan, this single malt is representative of Kanosuke’s artisanal and distinctive approach to today’s Japanese whisky scene.

Tasting Notes:

• View: Light golden amber, bright and with good presence in the glass.
• Nose: Soft and delicate aromas with honey, lemon tea, ripe banana and caramel, combining sweetness and freshness.
• Mouth: Enveloping attack with quince candy and Japanese cinnamon, ginger and slightly smoky nut notes, providing balance between sweetness and spices.
